Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

This is the official Shadowrocket site and manual. This policy covers data handling when you browse pages on shadow-download.com, use site navigation, or follow links to the App Store. It does not replace the app’s privacy disclosures or Apple’s data practices for App Store transactions.

1. Website features and data collection

This is a static content website. It has no account registration, sign-in, comments, or email collection forms. You can read the official manual without submitting your name, email address, payment details, or app configuration. This site does not provide, sell, or recommend servers or subscriptions; setup instructions assume you already have your own subscription or server details.

When your browser requests a page, the website server receives the network information needed to deliver it. Server logs may include IP address, request time, page path, response status, and browser type. This information is used to deliver pages, diagnose errors, and address unusual traffic. These records are separate from connection activity in the app.

Do not include subscription URLs, server passwords, or other access credentials in website addresses. This site has no configuration upload feature, and reading a tutorial does not give the site access to your in-app settings, connection activity, or device files.

2. Website analytics and how they are used

This site uses analytics to understand how visitors read pages and navigate the site. Analytics records may include page paths, referring pages, visit times, browser and device categories, and similar information. This helps us make content easier to find, identify broken links, and improve the tutorial structure.

If you click the App Store button on the genuine app verification page, the site records that the store link was clicked. This shows that the link was used; it does not mean that a purchase or payment was completed or that the app was installed. This site does not receive Apple transaction details from this event.

Server logs and analytics are handled for their respective purposes and do not require visitors to provide identifying information. Retention periods depend on the log rotation and analytics settings in the deployed service; this policy does not promise a fixed number of days without verification. Avoid including personal information in website addresses to reduce the chance that it is retained in request logs.

3. Cookies, browser storage, and controls

Core content is served as static pages and does not require session cookies for sign-in. Whether analytics uses cookies depends on the service’s actual configuration. Browser cache, cookies, and local storage are separate mechanisms, so clearing one does not necessarily clear the others.

This site does not ask you to store app subscriptions, server credentials, or payment information in browser storage. Page navigation and tab selections may be represented by fragments in the URL; these reading preferences are not an account profile.

You can view, restrict, or clear this site’s cookies, site data, and cache in your browser settings, and use any tracking restrictions provided by your browser. This may affect analytics or saved page preferences, but clearing browser data does not delete server records already created.

4. App Store links and app data

The only way to get Shadowrocket is through the App Store product page, operated by Apple. After you follow the link, account verification, purchases, payments, purchased items, and refunds are governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policies. This site does not take payments or ask for your Apple Account password.

A one-time purchase of the app is not a service subscription. The app purchase and any connection service you already use are separate. For the app’s data handling, refer to the App Store page and the in-app privacy disclosures. This website’s privacy policy does not extend website analytics to activity within the app.

5. Policy updates and where to find information

If website features, analytics settings, or applicable requirements change, this page will be updated and the last-updated month at the top will be revised. If a change introduces a new data use or collection scope, relevant information will be provided before the feature is used. A general statement on this page does not replace any required notice.

Because this site does not collect contact email addresses, policy updates are published here rather than sent by email. For questions about using the app, verifying the genuine app, or following setup steps, see the user guide and its troubleshooting guidance. You do not need to submit private configuration details or account credentials to read or check the steps.
